The tradition of New Year's :
The tradition of New Year's dinner : it means a lot to us.The dinner takes place on 31st december et we usually have a dinner with the whole family or just friends, it depends .
The dinner :
When everybody has arrived, we have dinner and on the dot of twelve, when the bells of "la Puerta del Sol" strike the twelve strokes of midnight, everyone eats a grape then people wish one another a happy new year and have champagne.

twelve "lucky" grapes It is a Spanish tradition, on 31st December at midnight when the church bell rings, you must eat one grape at every chiming of the twelve strokes of midnight. If you manage to do it , you 'll be lucky and happy for the whole year to come. |
